I wanted to share some personal news with all of you. After much reflection, I’ve decided that I will be retiring from my role as Executive Director of Senior Services on March 1, 2026.
When I first joined this incredible organization back in December 2016, I thought I’d stay for about five years. Well, here I am almost 10 years later — and what a journey it has been! Serving alongside such a passionate team of staff and volunteers has been one of the great honors of my life.
Together, we’ve faced challenges like COVID and the flood, celebrated milestones like the opening of the Sanford Center, and most importantly, worked every day to ensure older adults in our community have the support they need and deserve.
Over the next several months, I’ll be working with our Board and leadership team to make this a smooth transition. I’m deeply grateful for your dedication and heart. This place — and the people — will always mean the world to me.
With gratitude,
Charlie Schwedler
