After more than 20 years of leading the Bonesaver classes at the Sanford Activity & Dining Center, Sara Clavez retired at the end of February. Sara began teaching her many, many students how to “save their bones” at the old Sanford Center location–and after three floods there, continued at the new location.
Her students admired Sara for her patience, kindness, and positive attitude. One long-time student, Chris Beiler said, “Sara was more than an instructor–she was a friend.”
In retirement, Sara plans to continue agility training with her dog, traveling the world, and joining other exercise classes offered by Senior Services. She also remains very active in the community.
Good luck on your new journey, Sara!
The Sanford Bonesaver classes will continue with new instructors on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:45 am.
