As of May 11, the AARP Tax-Aide program at the Greater Midland Community Center has suspended their program until January 2021. Unless you expect an earned income credit (EIC), a home heating credit, owe money or need your refund now, we would encourage you to wait until January to file your taxes. There is no penalty for filing taxes after the deadline currently set for July 15th unless you owe. Please visit the website below if you would like to take steps to file taxes on your own online. If there is any way that AARP Tax-Aide can resume their services before January we will be sure to inform you. We are sorry for the inconvenience and wish you all well during this unprecedented time.
If you are still in need of getting your taxes filed soon and are not comfortable doing them online, you may call the Tax Cafe of Midland. They charge $20 for filing a Michigan return. Drop-off service only available at this time. You may call them at 989-898-7098 or email them at stsreturns@gmail.com
