by Julie Randolph, Information and Access Care Coordination Manager
At Senior Services, our Vision is to be the community leader and resource for addressing the diverse needs of older adults.
Our Care Coordinators bring this vision to life every day. They go out into the community to meet with older adults in their homes, listening, assessing needs, and helping each individual navigate the often complex systems of care and support. Whether it’s advocating for essential services, connecting clients with resources, or simply providing a compassionate ear, our Care Coordinators ensure that every person feels seen, heard, and valued.
“I just wanted to thank everyone who helped us in our need. The people were great and explained everything to us. The meals were great. Your staff are so kind and loving. Thanks for everything.”
— Care Coordination Client’s Family
A home visit allows our Care Coordinators to understand not just the challenges an older adult faces, but also their strengths, preferences, and goals. These one-on-one interactions empower clients to take charge of their future with the right information and support by their side.
Each Care Coordinator brings excellent listening and communication skills, along with deep knowledge of Senior Services programs, community resources, and how to access them.
Our Mission is to promote and enrich the quality of life for older adults and those who care for them by collaboratively providing meaningful services and opportunities.
This mission comes to life every single day—through hundreds of caring phone conversations and an average of 170 home visits each month. Currently, the Care Coordination team is proudly serving 907 clients across Midland County.
“Our Direct Care Worker, Heidi, understands what we are trying to accomplish with our mother and supports us in our efforts. She is very observant, which allows her to catch on to mom’s habits. We really appreciate her “get it done” attitude, all the while remaining kind and calm. We love Heidi!” —Home Care Client Family Member
“I just wanted to tell you folks how much I enjoy the lunch. It is exceptional! Thank you to all the volunteers. They always make my day a little brighter.” — Meals on Wheels Client
While we may not always be visible on the front lines of the agency, our work happens where it matters most—in the homes and lives of those we serve. It is our privilege to provide guidance, connection, and peace of mind to older adults and their families.
