Why Take An AARP Driver Safety Course? Because driving has changed since you first got your license and doing so might save you money!
The AARP Smart Driver course is the nation’s first refresher course specifically designed for drivers aged 50 and older. In many states, drivers may benefit from a discount on their auto insurance premiums upon completing the course. And you will learn something new along the way. In fact, an evaluation of the course found that 97% of participants changed at least one driving habit because of what they learned.
Please plan to bring your Michigan driver’s license and AARP card, if you have one. You may be eligible for a discount on your auto insurance, but will need to contact your agent to find out. The course is $20 for
AARP Members and $25 for Non Members, payable to the instructor on the first day by cash or check made out to “AARP” (No Credit Cards). Lunch is available.
