Have you ever worried about a grandchild or other relative? Had a friend who seemed down in the dumps? A simple three step process can help prevent suicide. In 2021, an estimated 12.3 million American adults seriously thought about suicide, 3.5 million planned a suicide attempt, and 1.7 million attempted suicide. (Centers for Disease Control) These numbers are getting worse. Most of us know that teen age and young adult rates of suicide are surging but few know the fastest growing group who are attempting suicide are older adults.
In this class you will learn a simple three step process known as QPR so you can help someone you might know who is struggling. It’s simple, it’s evidence based, and it’s created specifically for non-professionals like you and me who are more likely to be around regular people who are struggling in their daily life.
September is suicide prevention month. Take a bit of time out of your day and learn this simple process so you can be a part of a solution!
