Dementia 101: Understanding the Basics
Wed, Feb 26 • 1:30-3:30 pm • Trailside
Join Director of Education and Outreach, Trena Winans, and Health Education Coordinator Julie Black, OTR, for an enlightening session about Alzheimer’s disease and other related forms of dementia. This informative presentation will discuss the basics including what dementia and Alzheimer’s disease are, their symptoms and stages, and how they are diagnosed and treated. This program provides a primer of background information is helpful knowledge for other sessions focused on communication, challenges, and therapeutic engagement.
