Learn to Protect Both People When Moving from One Surface to Another

If you’re navigating helping a family member, consider your health and safety too. By mastering body mechanics, using safe lifting techniques, and effectively using assistive devices, you can protect yourself while providing the care they need. We will discuss avoiding injuries for care partners and their loved one with a focus on moving a person from one place to another. We will explore multiple safe ways to move people with and without adaptive equipment. There will be videos used to demonstrate safety and best techniques with concern for both the care partner and loved one.

*For all care partner classes, if you are caring for another person and are not previously registered with Senior Services as a care partner, please plan for a few extra minutes on the phone for registration.
