Assistive Technology: Easier Than You Think

Are you confused by all the options of assistive technology (AT) that might help you or your loved one function at their best? Assistive devices can help maintain independence and generally make daily tasks safer and easier. Come see for yourself with demonstrations of a variety of AT equipment. These may include pill dispensers, magnification devices, wireless keyboards, amplifiers, communication boards, grooming aides …and much more! You’ll have a chance to see a wide variety of devices and get hands on experience. Several items will also be available for a FREE short term loan. This allows you to try the device in your home before you buy it. Presented by Terri Robbins from the Disability Network of Mid-Michigan. Come and see how small changes can make a big difference in your lives!
*For all care partner classes, if you are caring for another person and are not previously registered with Senior Services as a caregiver, please plan to arrive a few minutes early for registration. Respite scholarships may be available. If requesting respite care, notify when registering.
