The Dionne Quintuplets Story with Floyd Andrick
Fri, May 20th • 12-1 pm
Trailside • RM 160
Hear the fascinating and complex story of the first set of quintuplets to ever survive! Government threats forced the Dionne family to sign their babies over to state care when the girls were just two months old. Soon their fame was exploited when the Canadian government created ‘Quintland’ where the girls were displayed to the public. Years later, a young Floyd Andrick went to visit the Dionne family and soon was embraced like a son. Over roughly 65+ years, Floyd assembled a collection of photographs and stories and began to relate the true tale from the family’s perspective. Come hear local historian Floyd Andrick as he presents the story, illustrating the lives of the Canadian famous five.
