Lunchtime Learners:
How Birds Survive the Winter with Chippewa Nature Center
Fri, Jan 24th • 12-1 pm • Trailside
Birds use more than warm downy feathers to ward off cold temperatures and long winter nights. Discover the amazing adaptations many birds rely on to survive weather extremes, reduced food supplies, shorter days and competition.
Aim to arrive by 11:30 am in Trailside and after your table is called, take your lunch into room 160. The talk will begin as close to noon as possible and end by 1:00. Space is limited in the room, so please call ahead to reserve your spot and register for lunch at 633-3700. Lunches are by donation to those over 60, or $7 for those under 60. Please cancel your reservation if you or anyone in your household is sick.
After each Lunchtime Learners program, we will be offering a tour of Trailside Center. If you’ve never taken a tour, this would be a great opportunity to see all that Senior Services has to offer!
Reserve your spot by calling 989-633-3700 or register online below.
