Civil War music served as a vital emotional lifeline for troops on both sides. It not only channeled their voices to express the causes that drove them to fight, but also offered comfort, courage, and a shared sense of home amid the brutal conflict. Join us as we listen to Civil War music played live by local pianist and amateur historian Ben DeGrow, and hear stories of life in America during the war that can help us build meaningful connections with the past.
