Tips for Protecting Your Drinking Water and Health

Learn how to safeguard your drinking water and protect your health in this informative session from the MDHHS Environmental Health Bureau. Whether you’re a private well owner or just curious about your water, this presentation covers everything from understanding where your drinking water comes from to practical tips for testing your drinking water and maintaining your well. You’ll also get advice on how to interpret water test results and reduce contamination risks. Take-home resources will be provided, and state health experts will be on hand to answer any questions you have about your water and health.

Aim to arrive by 11:30 am in Trailside and after your table is called, take your lunch into room 160. The talk will begin as close to noon as possible and end by 1:00. Space is limited in the room, so please call ahead to reserve your spot and register for lunch at 633-3700. Lunches are by donation to those over 60, or $7 for those under 60. Please cancel your reservation if you or anyone in your household is sick.

Following the March 21st program, we will be offering a tour of Trailside Center. If you’ve never taken a tour, this would be a great opportunity to see what we have to offer!
