The Crash of Flight 67 with Floyd Andrick
Fri, Sept 9th • 12-1 pm
Trailside • RM 160
On Easter Sunday night April 6, 1958, a Capital Airlines passenger plane was on landing approach in blustery weather to Tri-City (now MBS) Airport when it crashed and killed 47 people. Several of the victims were from this area. This was the most disastrous loss of life ever before or since in the mid-Michigan area.
Floyd Andrick has researched this event extensively over the years, visited the crash site the day following the disaster, published articles on it, and interviewed several individuals who were there on the night of the crash – including a witness who was 11 years old at the time and now lives in Midland. Join Floyd Andrick for another fascinating story and presentation.
After the program, Allison Rossi Utter, Community Outreach & Volunteer Manager, will be offering a tour of Trailside Center. If you’ve never taken a tour, this would be a great opportunity to see all that Senior Services has to offer!
