Michigan’s Drinking Water

Michigan continues to lead the nation in efforts to reduce exposure to lead in drinking water, as well as through other lead hazards. As part of that effort, MDHHS launched the Get Ahead of Lead strategy to address the threat of lead in Michigan household drinking water. MDHHS aims to raise awareness about potential risks and provide residents with the tools and information needed to take proactive steps to reduce lead exposure.

Aim to arrive by 11:30 am in Trailside and after your table is called, take your lunch into room 160. The talk will begin as close to noon as possible and end by 1:00. Space is limited in the room, so please call ahead to reserve your spot and register for lunch at 633-3700. Lunches are by donation to those over 60, or $7 for those under 60. Please cancel your reservation if you or anyone in your household is sick.
After each Lunchtime Learners program, we will be offering a tour of Trailside Center. If you’ve never taken a tour, this would be a great opportunity to see all that Senior Services has to offer!
