Maggie was known as a “one-woman safety net for the needy.” She had a heart as big as her substantial size and was known for her business acumen. Running her own boarding house/hotel in Midland on Main Street, she was one of two women listed in the 1875 Michigan State and Gazetteer and Business Directory. Her legacy, a woman of valor, was caring for the marginalized in the community.
Randi Kawakita will bring Mrs. Cunningham to life and share her remarkable story.
After the program, Allison Rossi Utter, Community Outreach & Volunteer Manager, will be offering a tour of Trailside Center. If you’ve never taken a tour, this would be a great opportunity to see all that Senior Services has to offer!
