Officer Brennan Warren from the Midland Police Department will share information about the types of scams that target older adults. Scammers are looking to get your money. You can protect yourself by knowing what to look out for and how to handle a scam that is targeting you.

Officer Warren will share examples of common scams, how to recognize a scammer, and how to avoid being a victim. One of the most effective ways to avoid a scam is TALK TO OTHERS about your experience before taking any action requested by the callers.

Aim to arrive by 11:30 am in Trailside and after your table is called, take your lunch into room 160. The talk will begin as close to noon as possible and end by 1:00. Space is limited in the room, so please call ahead to reserve your spot and register for lunch at 633-3700. Lunches are by donation to those over 60, or $7 for those under 60. Please cancel your reservation if you or anyone in your household is sick.

After each Lunchtime Learners program, we will be offering a tour of Trailside Center. If you’ve never taken a tour, this would be a great opportunity to see all that Senior Services has to offer!
