The VW Beetle and the Ad Campaign That Sold It

Join Jeffrey Bennett, former professor at Northwood University, for a presentation on the iconic VW Beetle. The presentation will briefly discuss the design and development of the Beetle and its introduction into the United States. He will focus on the innovative marketing and advertising campaign created to sell the car to the American public. The advertising for the Beetle was unlike any car before it and its legacy endures.
Aim to arrive by 11:30 am in Trailside and after your table is called, take your lunch into room 160. The talk will begin as close to noon as possible and end by 1:00. Space is limited in the room, so please call ahead to reserve your spot and register for lunch at 633-3700. Lunches are by donation to those over 60, or $7 for those under 60. Please cancel your reservation if you or anyone in your household is sick.
After each Lunchtime Learners program, we will be offering a tour of Trailside Center. If you’ve never taken a tour, this would be a great opportunity to see all that Senior Services has to offer!
