USS EDSON with Jim Reha
Fri, April 5th • 12-1 pm
at Trailside
Join Jim Reha, the Director of Educational Programs at the Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum, as he presents the history of the USS EDSON DD-946. The EDSON proudly served for 30 years including 10 deployments in Vietnam. She fired off over 1 million pounds of ammunition and earned the Vietnam Service Medal and National Defense Medal. The Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum works to preserve and promote the USS EDSON as a historical memorial, an active educational facility, and a unique visitor attraction.
Aim to arrive by 11:30 am in Trailside and after your table is called, take your lunch into room 160. The talk will begin as close to noon as possible and end by 1:00. Space is limited in the room, so please call ahead to reserve your spot and register for lunch at 633-3700. Lunches are by donation to those over 60, or $7 for those under 60. Please cancel your reservation if you or anyone in your household is sick.
After each Lunchtime Learners program, we will be offering a tour of Trailside Center. If you’ve never taken a tour, this would be a great opportunity to see all that Senior Services has to offer!
Reserve your spot below or by calling 989-633-3700! Online registration is available up until 2 hours prior to the program start time. If you are attempting to register less than 2 hours prior, please call 989-633-3700 for assistance.
