Whether you used to travel the globe and want to comfortably revisit favorite places, are curious about amazing locales you have never seen, or are seeking inspiration for your next trip! Travel and Adventure is only being held once this month, so be sure to register early to reserve your spot.
Covering 94,000 square miles, the Great Lakes are the largest reservoir of fresh water on the planet and one of the world’s busiest waterways. For centuries these waters have been a critical trade artery, influencing the history and economy of North America.
Adventurer Holly Morris starts her journey in Detroit, then heads up the stunning coast of Lake Huron, exploring some of Michigan’s 3,200 miles of lakeshore. On the way to the UP, Holly climbs the Mackinac Bridge for stunning views across the Mackinac Straits of Lakes Michigan and Huron. She joins a team of marine archaeologists in their search of the murky depths of Lake Superior’s Shipwreck Coast. Lastly, Holly experiences life on the freighter Paul R. Tregurtha on its journey to Duluth.
Please note Travel and Adventure is concurrent with lunch. If you would like to get a meal the day of the in-person program, please be sure to register for your meal by 9:00 am that day. Be sure to arrive prior to the program start time, by between 11:30 and 11:45 am to begin lunch.
