Annual enrollment for Medicare is October 15, 2016 through December 7, 2016 with coverage beginning January 1, 2017. The enrollment period is an opportunity for you to shop around for a plan that will best meet your needs in 2017. By completing a Medicare comparison, you may find that another plan has better coverage or has a lower premium. If you were eligible to enroll in the past but did not, this is also your chance to compare available plans and enroll. Annual enrollment is the time to consider the following:
- How will your current plan cover your health care costs and/or medications in 2017?
- What will the premiums, deductibles and co-payments be in 2017?
- Will your pharmacy of choice continue to participate with your plan in 2017?
