Hello Midland, I’m Lance Redwantz a local Registered Dietitian (R.D.) and your new Nutrition Program Director for Senior Services. I’ve worked in the fields of nutrition and dietetics for fifteen years in both a healthcare and educational capacity. My previous work has included serving as a R.D. for Great Lakes Bay Health, a Clinical Nutrition Manager/Director at Ascension St. Mary’s, and a Delta College Adjunct Instructor in the Health and Wellness Division. I hold certifications as a R.D, group fitness instructor, and a personal trainer. In addition to these credentials, I completed a B.S. and M.S. from Central Michigan University, as well as an A.A.S. from Delta College. I helped to develop outpatient medical nutrition therapy services for oncology, gastroenterology, and weight management programs at Ascension while serving as a preceptor for new dietitians via the Morrison Healthcare and Central Michigan University Dietetic Internship programs. My work over the last five years has been to combat food inaccessibility and insecurity faced by my patients, students, and community daily.

My family from left to right: my parents – Roy and Diane, myself, and my sister – Vannessa as we celebrated my mother’s 65th birthday.
In my free time I greatly enjoy gardening, mid-century modern design, cooking, baking, seeing my family, and exercising. I’m a firm believer that remaining active is an essential component of health. I’ve been a lacto-ovo-vegetarian for over a decade and take pride in my ability to grow some of my own food. I’m looking forward to serving you as I work with the team at Senior Services to ensure your meals are nutritious and delicious. Thank you for the opportunity to do so.
