Assistant Cook – Coleman Activity & Dining Center

(Part time (29 hours/week) – The Assistant Cook prepares, packs, delivers, and serves nutritious meals for programs such as Meals on Wheels, adult day services, and catering while following food safety, sanitation, temperature control, and nutrition guidelines. This role requires food service experience, strong communication and math skills, the ability to follow recipes and procedures independently, and the physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds and stand for extended periods. Responsibilities also include maintaining food storage and inventory, completing kitchen logs and records, assisting with cleaning and custodial duties, supporting special events, and providing excellent customer service while working under the supervision of the Food Service Manager. Flexibly Scheduled (20-29 hours/week) Compassionate and dependable Direct Care Worker experienced in providing personal care, companionship, and household support to older adults in their homes. Skilled in assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, medication reminders, housekeeping, and respite care while promoting client independence, dignity, and safety. Demonstrates strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills, with the ability to follow individualized care plans, maintain confidentiality, recognize changes in client conditions, and work effectively with family caregivers and healthcare teams. The goal of the Center is to creatively engage older adults to meet their nutritional, social, recreational and educational needs. Excellent verbal and written communication, computer, interpersonal and customer service skills are required. Must be able to supervise Center volunteers. Senior Services is seeking a dependable and friendly Transportation Driver to provide safe, door-to-door transportation for older adults attending the Seasons Adult Day Health Services program. Responsibilities include transporting clients to and from scheduled destinations, assisting with mobility devices, completing basic vehicle safety checks, and providing excellent customer service. A valid driver’s license, chauffeur’s license, and good driving record are required. Candidates must be patient, reliable, and committed to supporting seniors in our community. On-call Cooks
Openings for On-Call Cooks in the Nutrition Department at Senior Services. These positions provide kitchen assistance as needed at all Activity and Dining Centers (Trailside, Coleman, Sanford and Greendale). The On-Call Cook positions cover vacations, day-off requests and extra help needed particularly during the holidays. The knowledge gained regarding food safety, preparation, service and clean-up will help to prepare you for potential future opportunities. Previous food service or commercial meal preparation experience preferred but not required. Free lunch on scheduled workdays. No holidays, nights or weekends.
