Nutrition Program Director
Full-time (40 hours/week) This position plans, directs, administers and evaluates all aspects of the Nutrition Program to meet the nutritional needs and to enrich the life of older adults served through the programs and services offered by Senior Services. Food Service Management and Supervisory experience are required as well as experience with budget management, menu planning and recipe conversion and the development, implementation and coordination of programs. Must have good computer skills, customer service skills and good written and verbal communication skills. A degree in Dietetics is required and must have SERVSAFE certification or equivalent as well as 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
Full-time (40 hours/week) Provide in-home assessment with frail and vulnerable older adults, develop a plan of care, coordinate necessary services and resources and provide on-going follow up and monitoring. Part of this position involves providing Care Coordination to older adults in Midland County, the remaining portion involves working with RN to provide in-home Care Management to older adults living in Gladwin; Gratiot, Isabella and Midland Counties. Experience working with family caregivers and older adults with physical and/or cognitive limitations preferred. Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Human Service field preferred, or 2 years of Case Management experience. Reliable transportation required to conduct home visits -mileage reimbursed at IRS mileage rate (.625). Computer skills required. We offer mileage reimbursement, competitive pay, benefit package and holiday pay. No nights, weekends or on-call.
Part-time (29 hours/week) These positions are five days a week to assist with preparing, packing and serving meals in a Nutrition program for older adults. Will work primarily at the Trailside or Sanford Activity and Dining Centers. Previous food service or commercial meal preparation experience preferred but not required.
Custodian – Coleman Activity and Dining Center
Part-Time (20 hours/week) – Provides custodial services, building, and grounds maintenance at the Coleman Activity and Dining Center. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills, motivated and detail oriented. Must have the ability to multitask and the ability to work independently are required. Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for 4-6 hours, climb stairs and ladders as needed to maintain a safe, clean environment for seniors and staff. Duties include but not limited to snow shoveling, floor maintenance, cleaning and other tasks. Electrical and plumbing knowledge are preferred. Must be willing to alter assignment to support other staff and organizational needs.
Openings for On-Call Cooks in the Nutrition Department to provide kitchen assistance as needed at all Centers. This position has no guaranteed weekly hours or benefits, (called in when needed). The knowledge gained regarding food safety, preparation, service and clean-up will help to prepare you for potential future opportunities. Previous food service or commercial meal preparation experience preferred but not required.
