Assistant Cook – Trailside Activity & Dining Center
Part time (29 hours /week) – Senior Services provides a wide array of services needed to help people age in Midland County, including providing home-bound seniors or seniors who enjoy eating in a group setting, a hot and nutritious meal each day! Our Nutrition Department is seeking assistant cook(s) to assist with the preparation, serving, and packaging of Congregate Meals and Meals on Wheels for seniors of Midland County. The ideal candidate for this role is a team-player, has customer service experience, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Our goal is to serve appetizing, attractive, and nutritionally-balanced meals for seniors. Experience in the food service industry such as cooking, restaurant, or commercial meal preparation is preferred but not required. Applicant must have, or willing to obtain, SERVSAFE Certification, along with High School diploma (or equivalent), valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. Benefits include competitive pay, sick/vacation PTO, and a free daily lunch meal. Hours ** Monday-Friday (no weekends).
