by Julie Randolph, Information & Access and Care Coordination Manager
Senior Services provides the service of a Care Coordinator when an older adult in Midland County is in need of supports such as Meals on Wheels, Personal Care, Home Safety enhancements, and a variety of other services. There is no fee to work with a Care Coordinator. The assessment is crafted to identify needs and provide guidance, strategies, options, and resources to foster independence. Our goal is to enhance lives, remove barriers to independence, and lift burdens through care plans developed to meet needs.
Three new Care Coordinators have joined our team over the past year. Kelsey Ostyn has a background in nutritional services and advocacy to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault at Shelterhouse. Amy Shears comes to us with experience providing social services, including housing assistance, to families and older adults. Eric Krzywosinski brings an abundance of educational training and most recently served clients at Cancer Services. These new team members bring years of experience in social services and community resources. Our approach to care planning is to build on an individual’s strengths, values and goals.
Senior Services’ mission is to promote and enrich the quality of life for older adults and those who care for them by collaboratively providing meaningful services and opportunities. The Care Coordination Team considers it a privilege to advance the agency mission and serve Midland County older adults and their family caregivers. Please call Senior Services at 989-633-3700 if you or a loved one are in need of supports.
