by Julie Randolph, Care Coordination Manager
Senior Services provides the service of a Care Coordinator when an older adult in Midland County is in need of supports such as Meals on Wheels, Personal Care, Home Safety enhancements, and a variety of other assistance services. There is no fee for the assessment and ongoing communications, which are crafted to identify and provide guidance, strategies, options, and resources to foster independence. Our goal is to enhance lives, remove barriers to independence, and lift burdens through care plans developed to meet needs.
Two new Care Coordinators have joined our staff over the past year. Jennifer Clark comes to Senior Services with 13 years of experience working with older adults at Mecosta County Commission on Aging. It is rare for Senior Services to have the good fortune to bring onboard an individual with Jennifer’s years of such similar experience and expertise. In addition to Jennifer, we welcome Amanda Marker to our Care Coordination team. Amanda comes to Senior Services after working five years in the Midland community with individuals overcoming addictions. Amanda’s experience provides heightened awareness of societal struggles and building on an individual’s strengths.
