Senior Services is in the process of updating records in order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our services. You may have recently received a postcard in the mail prompting you to contact us if our information on file was incorrect. Please double-check your mailing label on page 16 to ensure accuracy and if you ever need to make a change, please reach out to us. These updates allow us to better serve your needs and ensure that our records are up-to-date.
We may reach out to you in the future to verify your contact information or to request any additional details that may be missing from our records. We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but we assure you that this is a necessary step to improve our services.
Moving forward we will require that all clients provide their birthdates in order to access our services or register for classes. This change has been implemented in order to improve our ability to differentiate between account holders that may share the same first and last name to prevent duplication of records. This will help us to ensure that clients/participants are receiving the correct services and that we are protecting sensitive medical information and following guidelines for HIPAA privacy rules.
For example, if we have two clients with the same name and no other identifying information to differentiate their accounts we could unintentionally sign up that client for incorrect services or classes. Asking for a client’s birthdate for our records helps to create a unique identifier that ensures that we are protecting the quality of our data. Our goal is to provide our clients with the best possible service!
Senior Services will never sell or share your information and we take measures to ensure that the information in our records is protected from cybersecurity attacks. Thank you for your patience regarding this new policy, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions at 989-633-3700. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
